  • Abstract The antidiabetic, hypolipidemic, and antioxidant properties of Phyllanthus niruri. (L) (Euphorbiaceae) were compared in normal, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM), and non–insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) animals through evaluating the effects on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism and antioxidant activities.
