This paper presents a dual band hybrid dielectric antenna covering IEEE.11n bands. The antenna consists of a raised folded monopole which covers the lower band WLAN 2.4 GHz, while the dielectric resonator covers the WLAN 5 GHz. The cylindrical dielectric resonator was manufactured from new glass-ceramic material. This class of new material has promising features for microwave applications.
