An experiment to search for the electron electric dipole moment (eEDM) on the metastable H(3)Δ1 state of ThO molecule was proposed and now prepared by the ACME Collaboration [http://www.electronedm.org]. To interpret the experiment in terms of eEDM and dimensionless constant kT, P characterizing the strength of the T,P-odd pseudoscalar-scalar electron-nucleus neutral current interaction, an accurate theoretical study of an effective electric field on electron, Eeff, and a parameter of the T,P…

Theoretical study of thorium monoxide for the electron electric dipole moment search: electronic properties of H(3)Δ(1) in ThO.

Improved calculations of the molecular state-specific quantities Eeff, 81.5 GV/cm, and WT,P, 112 kHz are reported, with the uncertainty within 7% of the magnitudes, and the first calculation of g-factor for the H(3)Δ1 state of ThO.

The combined all-electron and two-step approach is applied to calculate the molecular parameters which are required to interpret the ongoing experiment to search for the effects of manifestation of the T,P-odd fundamental interactions in the HfF+ cation and the effective electric field is found to be 22.5 GV/cm.

Relativistic coupled-cluster study of BaF in search of CP violation

BaF is one of the potential candidates for the experimental search of the electric dipole moment of the electron (eEDM). The NL-eEDM collaboration is building a new experimental set up to measure the

Search for parity and time reversal violating effects in HgH: Relativistic coupled-cluster study.

The Z-vector method in the relativistic coupled-cluster framework is employed and found that HgH has a very large Eeff value which makes it a potential candidate for the next generation eEDM experiment and a large scalar-pseudoscalar (S-PS) P,T-violating interaction constant, Ws = 284.2 kHz.

In search of discrete symmetry violations beyond the standard model: Thorium monoxide reloaded.

The present findings confirm the slightly relaxed constraints on relevant beyond-standard-model parameters, in particular the electron EDM, de, and the nucleon-electron scalar-pseudoscalar coupling constant, CS.

Spectroscopy on the electron-electric-dipole-moment–sensitive states of ThF +

An excellent candidate molecule for the measurement of the electron’s electric dipole moment (eEDM) is thorium monofluoride (ThF + ) because the eEDM–sensitive state, 3 (cid:2) 1 , is the electronic

LCAO-based theoretical study of PbTiO3 crystal to search for parity and time reversal violating interaction in solids.

A theoretical approach to calculate the properties in solids which are directly sensitive to the changes of valence electron densities in atomic cores but not in the valence spatial regions (Mössbauer parameters, hyperfine structure (HFS) constants, parameters of T,P-odd Hamiltonians, etc.

Measuring the electric dipole moment of the electron in BaF

Abstract We investigate the merits of a measurement of the permanent electric dipole moment of the electron (eEDM) with barium monofluoride molecules, thereby searching for phenomena of CP violation

Relativistic coupled-cluster investigation of parity (P) and time-reversal (T ) symmetry violations in HgF.

We employ the Z-vector method in the four-component relativistic coupled-cluster framework to calculate the parity (P) and time-reversal (T ) symmetry violating scalar-pseudoscalar nucleus-electron

Search for the electric dipole moment of the electron with thorium monoxide

The electric dipole moment of the electron (eEDM) is a signature of CP-violating physics beyond the standard model. We describe an ongoing experiment to measure or set improved limits to the eEDM,

Prospects for an electron electric-dipole moment search in metastable ThO and ThF+

The observation of an electron electric-dipole moment EEDM would have major ramifications for the standard model of physics. Polar molecules offer a near-ideal laboratory for such searches due to the
