The determination of σ and κ poles is discussed. Elastic scattering and production processes may be fitted simultaneously by including the Adler zero into the Breit‐Wigner width Γ(s). Data on ππ → ππ and Ke4 decays give a σ pole at (525 ± 40) − i(247 ± 25) MeV. A combined analysis with production data gives a better determination: (542 ± 25) − i(249 ± 25) MeV. The Fourier transform of the matrix element for σ → ππ reveals a compact interaction region with RMS radius ∼ 0.4 fm. The analysis of…

The kappa in J/Ψ↦K+π

BES II data for J/Ψ↦K*(890)Kπ reveal a strong κ peak in the Kπ S-wave near threshold. Both magnitude and phase are determined in slices of Kπ mass by interferences with strong K0(1430), K1(1270) and

K*0Σ+ Photoproduction from Threshold to 3.0 GeV

The CLAS collaboration and the CBELSA/TAPS collaboration reported the differential cross section data for K*0 photoproduction, and found that the t-channel K exchange dominates the production

Reconciling φ radiative decays with other data for a0(980), f0(980), ππ→KK and ππ→ηη

Data for φ→γ(ηπ0) are analysed using the KK loop model and compared with parameters of a0(980) derived from Crystal Barrel data. The ηπ mass spectrum agrees closely and the absolute normalisation

Precise determination of the f0(600) and f0(980) pole parameters from a dispersive data analysis.

The mass, width, and couplings of the two lightest scalar-isoscalar resonances are obtained and the analytic continuation to the complex plane is made in a model-independent way by means of once- and twice-subtracted dispersion relations for the partial waves.

Decays of σ, κ, a0(980) and f0(980)

Ratios of coupling constants for these decays are compared with qq̄ predictions and Jaffe’s q2q̄2 model. In both models, the predicted ratio g2(κ→Kπ)/g2(σ→ππ) is much too small. Also, for qq̄, the

Electromagnetic polarizabilities of the nucleon and properties of the σ-meson pole contribution

Abstract. The t-channel contribution to the difference of electromagnetic polarizabilities of the nucleon, (α - β)t, can be quantitatively understood in terms of a σ-meson pole in the complex t-plane

The preliminary lattice QCD calculation of κ meson decay width

A bstractWe present a direct lattice QCD calculation of the κ meson decay width using the s-wave scattering phase shift for the isospin I = 1/2 pion-kaon (πK) system. In the moving frame, we employ a
