In a recent survey of 17 236 physicians, close to 50% of the respondents reported frequently or constantly feeling professionally burned-out, whereas only 11% reported no such feelings.1,2 Some of the findings from this survey that speak to this growing discontent are shown in Figure 1.1,2 Perhaps an even stronger indicator of the profession…
