Abstract

The authors have compared the flood response of two adjacent watersheds in Nebraska to extreme precipitation. They concluded that ''the striking contrast in flood response between Maple Creek and Pebble Creek are related to contrasts in drainage network structure, infiltration properties and flood wave attenuation''.
