The purpose of this paper is to introduce the area of Green Logistics and to describe some of the problems that arise in this subject which can be formulated as combinatorial optimization problems. The paper particularly considers the topics of reverse logistics, waste management and vehicle routing and scheduling.

Combinatorial optimization and Green Logistics

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the area of Green Logistics and to describe some of the problems that arise in this subject which can be formulated as combinatorial optimization problems.

The implementation of green logistics in supermarkets in Sweden and China : A case study for ICA MAXI and JIA JIAYUE

Due to the increasing environmental problems in recent years, there are more and more “green” ideas that have been put forward and implemented. Green logistics emerged as a new concept to focus on ...

Green Logistics in South Africa : A study of the managerial perceptions in the road transportation industry in South Africa

The role of logistics has, over the last decade, evolved into a significant determinant in the operations of businesses. Increased efficiency and reduced operational costs can be established throug

A bi-objective fleet size and mix green inventory routing problem, model and solution method

A bi-objective meta-heuristic algorithm based on the quantum evolutionary algorithm for green inventory routing problem with the heterogeneous fleet to reduce the emissions and minimize the fleet size, vehicle type, routing, and inventory costs is proposed.

Optimizing Routes with Safety and Environmental Criteria in Transportation Management in Spain: A Case Study

The object of logistic management is to optimise the whole value chain of the distribution of goods and merchandise. One of the main aspects of such an analysis is the optimisation of vehicle routes

Multiobjective Green Time-Dependent Location-Routing Problem and Algorithms

To reduce the logistic cost and carbon emission and improve customer satisfaction, this study proposes a multiobjective green time-dependent location routing problem (MOGTDLRP) model in which the
