Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) are extremely aggressive brain tumors characterized by resistance to standard treatment modalities including surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. While radiation therapy is the standard treatment after surgical resection, these tumors invariably recur and are associated with a uniformly dismal prognosis.
