The method for determination of Xanthine Oxidase(XOD) by means of the reduction of MTS 〔3-(4 5 dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxy-methoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium,inner salt〕 was established with xanthine as the substrate.The MTS was reduced to an aqueous soluble formazan by superoxide produced in the enzymic reaction.The maximum absorbance of the formazan is at 490~580 nm,and its e 500 is 2 738×10 4。This method has a good reproductivity(XOD2 38 U/L, CV 4 31%;XOD30 8 U/L, CV 2 81… CONTINUE READING
