SUMMARY We report on evidence that confinement is related to dual superconductivity of the vacuum in full QCD, as in quenched QCD. The vacuum is a dual superconductor in the confining phase, whilst the U(1) magnetic symmetry is realized a la Wigner in the deconfined phase.

Color confinement and dual superconductivity in unquenched QCD
Abstract We report on evidence from lattice simulations that confinement is produced by dual superconductivity of the vacuum in full QCD as in quenched QCD. Preliminary information is obtained on theExpand
Color deconfinement transition in full QCD
Abstract We report on evidence from lattice simulations that confinement is produced by monopole condensation in full QCD, as in quenched QCD. The vacuum is a dual superconductor in the confiningExpand
The disorder parameter of dual superconductivity in QCD revisited
• Physics
• 2012
We discover the origin of the pathologies of the disorder parameter used in previous papers to detect dual superconductivity of QCD vacuum, and we remove them by defining an improved disorderExpand
Dual superconducting properties of the QCD vacuum
• Physics
• 2007
A consistent description of the confining QCD vacuum as a dual superconductor requires a determination of fundamental parameters such as the superconductor correlation length $\xi$ and the fieldExpand
Investigations on the deconfining phase transition in QCD
• Physics
• 2004
Abstract We investigate the deconfining phase transition in SU(3) pure gauge theory and in full QCD with two flavors of staggered fermions by means of a gauge invariant thermal partition functional.Expand
Chiral transition and deconfinement in Nf = 2 QCD
• Physics
• 2005
The transition is studied by means of a disorder parameter detecting condensation of magnetic monopoles in the vacuum. The deconfining transition is found to coincide with the chiral transition andExpand
Probing the QCD Vacuum Using External Fields
• Physics
• 2006
The QCD vacuum can be studied using external fields. We report here results respectively obtained probing the lattice QCD vacuum by means of an abelian monopole field and of an abelian chromomagneticExpand
Production of vortices in the dual Ginzburg-Landau theory
The number density of vortices produced during a quench in the Abelian Higgs model is predicted. Assuming that the dual Landau–Ginzburg model provides an effective infrared description of QCD, theExpand
A finite temperature investigation of dual superconductivity in the modified SO(3) lattice gauge theory
• Physics
• 2004
Abstract We study the SO ( 3 ) lattice gauge theory in 3 + 1 dimensions with the adjoint Wilson action modified by a Z 2 monopole suppression term and by means of the Pisa disorder operator. We findExpand
QCD dynamics in a constant chromomagnetic field
• Physics
• 2007
We investigate the phase transition in full QCD with two flavors of staggered fermions in presence of a constant abelian chromomagnetic field. We find that the critical temperature depends on theExpand
