A new game-theoretic approach for combining multiple classifiers is proposed. A short introduction in Game Theory and coalitions illustrate the way any collective decision scheme can be viewed as a competitive game of coalitions that are formed naturally when players state their preferences. The winning conditions and the voting power of each player are studied under the scope of voting power indices, as well and the collective competence of the group. Coalitions and power indices are presented…

A Game-Theoretic Approach to Weighted Majority Voting for Combining SVM Classifiers

TLDR
Experimental results with combined support vector machine (SVM) classifiers on benchmark classification tasks have proven that WMR, employing the theoretically optimal solution for combination weights proposed in this work, outperformed all the other rank-based, simple majority and soft-output averaging methods.

A game-theoretic framework for classifier ensembles using weighted majority voting with local accuracy estimates

TLDR
Experiments indicate that this new adaptive WMR model, employing local accuracy estimators and the analytically computed optimal weights outperform all the other simple combination rules.

The Network of Weighted Majority Rules and Weighted Majority Games

Abstract The network organizes in space the weighted majority rules (WMR) and weighted majority games (WMG). The WMRs are the potentially optimal decision rules in uncertain dichotomous choice

Weighted Voting, Multicameral Representation, and Power

Abstract A simple game ( P, W ) can serve as a model of a voting system in which an alternative is pitted against the status quo. In what follows, we investigate the following three aspects of such

Which Scoring Rule Maximizes Condorcet Efficiency Under Iac?

Consider an election in which each of the n voters casts a vote consisting of a strict preference ranking of the three candidates A, B, and C. In the limit as n→∞, which scoring rule maximizes, under

The nature of game-theoretic analysis, the history of game theory,Why game theory is useful for understanding human psychology, and why game theory has played a key role in the recent explosion of interest in the field of behavioral economics are discussed.

Optimal decision rules for fixed-size committees in polychotomous choice situations

TLDR
The present extension broadens the scope of applications of the theory of collective decision making and derives optimal decision rules for fixed-size committees in polychotomous choice situations.
