Although large-capacity cold forceps can be used to remove tiny polyps (1-2 mm) in a single piece, cold snaring is more effective and efficient than cold forceps resection for diminutive lesions ( 5 mm). Polypectomy is the basis of cancer prevention during colonoscopy.
