By representing a quantum state and its evolution with the majorana stars on the Bloch sphere, the Majorana representation (MR) provide us an intuitive way to study a physical system with SU(2) symmetry. In this work, based on coherent states, we propose a method to establish generalization of MR for a general symmetry. By choosing a generalized coherent state as a reference state, we give a more general MR for both finite and infinite systems and the corresponding star equations are given…

Majorana decomposition for two-qubit pure states
The Majorana representation (MR), which represents a quantum state and its evolution with the Majorana stars (MSs) on the Bloch sphere, provides us an intuitive way to study symmetric multiqubit pure
The Exact Curve Equation for Majorana Stars
This work analytically gives the curve equation and finds that the curve always goes through the North pole on the Block sphere, and for the superpositions of SU(1,1) coherent states, the same curve equation is found.

Berry phase and quantum entanglement in Majorana's stellar representation
By presenting the evolution of a quantum state with the trajectories of the Majorana stars on the Bloch sphere, the Majorana's stellar provides an intuitive geometric picture to study a quantum

It is shown that a pure quantum state in a (2J+1)-dimensional Hilbert space can be mapped onto the partition function of a gas of independent Dirac strings moving on a sphere and subject to the Coulomb repulsion of 2J fixed test charges characterizing the quantum state.
Majorana representation of symmetric multiqubit states
A detailed description of the Majorana representation of pure symmetric states and its applicability in investigating various aspects of multiparticle entanglement is presented.
Anticoherence of spin states with point-group symmetries
We investigate multiqubit permutation-symmetric states with maximal entropy of entanglement. Such states can be viewed as particular spin states, namely anticoherent spin states. Using the Majorana

The manifold of maximally entangled 3 qubit state, both in the symmetric and generic case, is analyzed and a cross ratio of related Möbius transformations are shown to play a central role.
Tensor representation of spin States.
A generalization of the Bloch sphere representation for arbitrary spin states, based on covariant matrices introduced by Weinberg in the context of quantum field theory, provides a compact and elegant representation of spin density matrices in terms of tensors that share the most important properties of Bloch vectors.
Barycentric measure of quantum entanglement
Majorana representation of quantum states by a constellation of n 'stars' (points on the sphere) can be used to describe any pure state of a simple system of dimension n+1 or a permutation symmetric
Characterization of symmetry-protected topological phases in polymerized models by trajectories of Majorana stars
By using Majorana's stellar representation, we give a clear geometrical interpretation of the topological phases of inversion-symmetric polymerized models by mapping the Bloch states of multi-band
