In cognitive radio network, spectrum handoff occurs when primary user appears in the licensed band which is occupied by the cognitive user. Spectrum handoff aims to help cognitive user find suitable channel to resume the unfinished transmission as quickly as possible. In this paper, we propose a cognitive learning algorithm which can be used to decide the order of channel-sensing when the cognitive user needs to carry on spectrum handoff.
