Topological semimetals have attracted broad interest in recent years. These exotic phases of matter include type-I/II Dirac/Weyl semimetals as well as topological nodal-line semimetals. However, it is relatively rare for a single condensed matter system to possess two or more topological semimetallic states. Here, using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations, we show that the nonmagnetic phase of monoclinic V 3 S 4 hosts both type-II Dirac…

Experimental evidence for type-II Dirac semimetal in PtSe 2

Topological semimetals have attracted extensive research interests for realizing condensed matter physics counterparts of three-dimensional Dirac and Weyl fermions, which were originally introduced

The Dirac nodal line network in non-symmorphic rutile semimetal RuO$_2$.

We employ angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) to investigate the Fermi surface of RuO$_2$. We find a network of two Dirac nodal lines (DNL) as previously predicted in theory, where the

Type-II Symmetry-Protected Topological Dirac Semimetals.

This Letter proposes the concept of the three-dimensional type-II Dirac fermion and theoretically identifies this new symmetry-protected topological state in the large family of transition-metal icosagenides, MA_{3} (M=V, Nb, Ta; A=Al, Ga, In).

Observation of Topological Nodal Fermion Semimetal Phase in ZrSiS

The search for new topological phases of matter is a major new direction in condensed matter physics. Recent experimental realizations of Dirac and Weyl semimetal phases pave the way to look for

Observation of nodal line in non-symmorphic topological semimetal InBi

Topological nodal semimetal (TNS), characterized by its touching conduction and valence bands, is a newly discovered state of quantum matter which exhibits various exotic physical phenomena.

Topological surface electronic states in candidate nodal-line semimetal CaAgAs

Experimental realization of two-dimensional Dirac nodal line fermions in monolayer Cu2Si

The discovery of two-dimensional Dirac nodal line fermions in monolayer Cu2Si is reported based on combined theoretical calculations and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements to establish Cu2 Si as a platform to study the novel physical properties in two- dimensional Dirac materials and provide opportunities to realize high-speed low-dissipation devices.

Experimental realization of a three-dimensional Dirac semimetal.

Discovery of topological nodal-line fermionic phase in a magnetic material GdSbTe

The experimental discovery of an antiferromagnetic topological nodal-line semimetallic state in GdSbTe is reported using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and the detailed electronic structure of the paramagnetic state is revealed.

Observation of topological surface states in the high-temperature superconductor MgB2

Most topological superconductors known to date suffer from low transition temperatures (Tc) and/or high fragility to disorder and dopant levels, which is hampering the progress in this promising
