The synthesis of linear and planar arrays of desired omnidirectional intensity patterns is considered. A novel approach that utilizes the relation between the array intensity pattern and the correlation function of the used feeding sequence, or code, is adopted. The basic theory of such code-fed arrays is reviewed, and it is shown that almost omnidirectional patterns result when codes with sharp autocorrelation functions are used as the feeding sequences. Examples of omnidirectional linear and…

Huffman code-fed omnidirectional acoustical arrays

TLDR
It is shown that an almost omnidirectional pattern results when a code with a sharp correlation function is used as the feeding sequence for the elements of the array, and Huffman impulse-equivalent codes have very sharp correlation properties and are shown to result in good omnid directional linear and planar acoustical arrays.

On Modelling and Comparative Study of LMS and RLS Algorithms for Synthesis of MSA

TLDR
The findings point to higher accuracies in approximation for synthesis of MSA using RLS algorithm as compared with that of LMS approach; however the computational complexity increases in the former case.

Motion camouflage for in-orbit maneuvers

A strategy for trajectory design, motion camouflage, is introduced within the context of orbital relative motion. At first the equations of orbital motion for this approach are developed. The control

TLDR
The feeding of loudspeaker arrays according to special codes of the Huffman type is investigated to result in much better omnidirectional patterns than those resulting by feeding with Barker codes or other trial and error binary codes that were introduced recently.

Omnidirectional coded loudspeaker arrays

TLDR
New codes of the Huffman codes type, which are generated by combination of Barker codes, are considered and are shown to result in almost isotropic patterns which are superior to those obtained by feeding the arrays with Barker codes.
