A new type of contiguous-channel RF multiplexing filter has been developed. The filter topology is derived from an electrical-mechanical analogy of the mammalian cochlea, and this channelizer retains the desirable features of the cochlea including multiple-octave frequency coverage, a large number of output channels, and an enhanced high-order upper stop-band response.
