  • Introduction: The mechanisms of early filter failure and clotting with different anticoagulation modalities during continuous venovenous hemofiltration (CVVH) are largely unknown. Methods: Citrate, heparin and no anticoagulation were compared. Blood was drawn pre- and post filter up to 720 min.
