According to the database from the first paper, we selected 180 pairs with dV < 800 km s-1 and Dp < 60 kpc containing Markarian (MRK) galaxies. We studied the dependence of galaxies’ integral parameters, star-formation (SF), and active galactic nuclei (AGN) properties on kinematics of pairs, their structure, and large-scale environments. The following main results were obtained: projected radial separation Dp between galaxies correlates with the perturbation level P of the pairs. Both…
Close pairs of galaxies with different activity levels
Abstract We selected and studied 180 pairs with d V < 800 km s−1 and Dp < 60 kpc containing Markarian (MRK) galaxies to investigate the dependence of galaxies integral parameters, star-formation (SF)
The Second Byurakan Survey Galaxies in Close Pairs
418 pairs containing galaxies from the Second Byurakan Survey (SBS) with dV < 800 km/s and Dp < 100 kpc are selected for study of the dependence of star formation rates and nuclear activity on the
Optical imaging for the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies. Data release and notes on interacting galaxies
(Abridged) The Spitzer Survey for Stellar Structure in Galaxies (S4G) and its more recently approved extension will lead to a set of 3.6 and 4.5 micron images for 2829 galaxies, which can be used to
X-ray-emitting active galactic nuclei from z = 0.6 to 1.3 in the intermediate- and high-density environments of the ORELSE survey
We studied active galactic nucleus (AGN) activity in 12 large-scale structures (LSSs) in the Observations of Redshift Evolution in Large-Scale Environments (ORELSE) survey, at 0.65 < z < 1.28, using

Close neighbors of Markarian galaxies. I. Optical database
The catalogue of close neighbors of Markarian galaxies located inside circles with radii 60 kpc from the centers of Markarian objects is presented, which combines extensive new measurements of their
Tidally Triggered Star Formation in Close Pairs of Galaxies
We analyze optical spectra of a sample of 502 galaxies in close pairs and N-tuples, separated by ≤50 h-1 kpc. We extracted the sample objectively from the CfA2 redshift survey, without regard to the
Galaxy pairs in the 2dF survey — I. Effects of interactions on star formation in the field
We study galaxy pairs (GPs) in the field selected from the 100-K public release of the Two Degree Field (2dF) galaxy redshift survey. Our analysis provides a well-defined sample of 1258 GPs, a large
Galaxy pairs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey – V. Tracing changes in star formation rate and metallicity out to separations of 80 kpc
We present a sample of 1899 galaxies with a close companion taken from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7. The galaxy pairs are selected to have velocity differences Δv < 300 km s−1,
Galaxy pairs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey – III. Evidence of induced star formation from optical colours
We have assembled a large, high quality catalogue of galaxy colours from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7, and have identified 21,347 galaxies in pairs spanning a range of projected
MARKARIAN GALAXIES. I. THE OPTICAL DATABASE AND ATLAS
A database for the entire Markarian catalog is presented that combines extensive new measurements of their optical parameters with a literature and database search. The measurements were made using
Galaxy pairs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey – II. The effect of environment on interactions
We use a sample of close galaxy pairs selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 4 (SDSS DR4) to investigate in what environments galaxy mergers occur and how the results of these
GALAXY PAIRS IN THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY. I. STAR FORMATION, ACTIVE GALACTIC NUCLEUS FRACTION, AND THE LUMINOSITY/MASS-METALLICITY RELATION
We present a sample of 1716 galaxies with companions within Δv <500 km s–1, rp < 80 h–1 70 kpc and stellar mass ratio 0.1 < M 1/M 2 < 10 from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 4. The galaxy
Minor Galaxy Interactions: Star Formation Rates and Galaxy Properties
We study star formation in a sample of 1204 galaxies in minor ( ≥ 2) pair and compact groups, drawn from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 5. We analyze an analogous sample of 2409 galaxies
COMBINED EFFECTS OF GALAXY INTERACTIONS AND LARGE-SCALE ENVIRONMENT ON GALAXY PROPERTIES
We inspect the coupled dependence of physical parameters of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey galaxies on the small-scale (distance to and morphology of the nearest neighbor galaxy) and the large-scale
