The clonality pattern of immunoglobulins (Igs) produced after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) was studied by high-resolution two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2D-PAGE) of serum samples and purified Igs. With this technique, the light (L) chain of a monoclonal Ig usually appears as a single spot.
