Myelin basic protein (MBP)-reactive T cells are thought to play an important role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS). In some patients with MS, these autoreactive T cells display a limited heterogeneity in their epitope recognition and T cell receptor (TCR) variable (V) gene usage.
