In a series of 198 patients examined by the fractionated method of oral cholecystangiography Biloptin and Solu-Biloptin were used and compared with regard to tolerance with iopanoic acid and Phenobutiodil. There was no significant difference in tolerance between Biloptin and iopanoic acid but Biloptin was apparently better tolerated than Phenobutiodil. Biloptin appears to be a safe and reliable method for cholecystography but its usefulness in demonstrating the duct system is less satisfactory…

A CLINICAL TRIAL OF ORAL CHOLECYSTOGRAPHIC MEDIA: TELEPAQUE, BILOPTIN, OSBIL TABLETS AND OSBIL CAPSULES.
TLDR
478 patients were each given one of four oral cholecystographic contrast media, Biloptin, Telepaque and two preparations of Osbil and the findings are compared with those of other workers.
Three Years Experience of Peroral Cholegraphy
TLDR
The present communication is an evaluation of this relatively new method of examination of Biloptin and Solu-Biloptin with reference to previous publications and to the writers' own material of 249 patients.
Renal toxicity following oral cholecystography with oragrafin (ipodate calcium).
TLDR
A recent episode in which a standard dose of Oragrafin was ingested demonstrates an early form of renal failure, which has significant implications.
Residual Contrast Medium in the Intestines and Side Effects during Cholecystography
TLDR
An investigation to compare four of the contrast media most widely used for cholecystography, and a new preparation that promises to be a valuable and technically advantageous addition to the authors' diagnostic aids is described.
