Abstract This study was intended to evaluate the hair growth activity of Zataria multiflora Boiss. (ZM) and Matricaria chamomilla (MC) for androgenetic alopecia following a six-month clinical trial. In vitro studies were conducted to measure the inhibitory effects of MC and ZM against 5α-reductase (5αR).
