Central neurocytomas (CNs) are rare central nervous system tumors that occur in the lateral ventricles. They are prevalent in young adults and are typically benign with excellent prognosis following surgical resection. Because of the rarity of the disease and its similar features with more common tumors, misdiagnosis becomes an issue.
