OBJECTIVE To evaluate the use of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay on urine samples for diagnosis of leptospirosis in dogs. DESIGN Prospective case study. ANIMALS 132 dogs with clinical signs suggestive of leptospirosis and 13 healthy dogs.
