Objective To investigate the effect of procalcitonin in sepsis with xuebijing.Methods 60 patients with sepsis were randomly divided into xuebijing group and contrast group.the xuebijing group was received traditional west medicine therapy and the other was received xuebijing except for the traditional west medicine therapy.The level of PCT in serum were measured in different and the mortality in two groups was statisticsed.Results The level of PCT in xuebijing group trend to decrease and dramatic lower than the level of PCT in the time in-hospital since the patients were treated three days.Compared with the contrast group,the level of PCT in xuebijing group was marked lower in the same timepoint exclued the time in-hospital.Conclusion Xuebijing can effetively decrease the level of PCT in serum,lower the mortality of sepsis.
