The dehydroalanine containing peptides glycyldehydroalanine and t-butyloxy-carbonyl-L-alanyldehydroalanyl-beta-methyl-D, L-aspartic acid methyl ester were synthesized, respectively, from chloroacetamide and pyruvate and from t-butyloxycarbonyl-L-alanyl-S-methyl-L-cysteinyl-beta-methyl-D, L-aspartic acid methyl ester.
