Classification of an avian virus by electron microscopy

A virus isolated from chicken feces in cell cultures of trypsinized chicken kidney was examined electronmicroscopically. The size was 71 mμ ±3 mμ, and the number of capsomers was estimated to 252 arranged as triangular facets in a cubic symmetry and with an hexagonal outline. No envelope was found.
