Groups of 64 male and 64 female Wistar rats were given thiram at constant dietary doses of 0, 3, 30, and 300 ppm (0, 0.1, 1.2, and 11.6 mg/kg/day for males and 0, 0.1, 1.4, and 13.8 mg/kg/day for females) for 104 weeks. Eight males and eight females in each group were killed after Weeks 13, 26, and 52. For the dog study, four male and four female beagle dogs were alloted to each group and treated with the compound at 0, 0.4, 4, and 40 mg/kg/day for 104 weeks.
