Chronic submandibular sialadenitis: ultrastructure and phosphatase histochemistry.

Eleven specimens of chronic submandibular sialadenitis were examined. A reduction in secretory material in acinar cells was seen with increasing atrophy until the acini resembled intercalary ducts.
