The purpose of this review was answer 2 main questions: what is the impact of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) on the patient's quality of life and how great is the economic burden of this disease on the health care payers and providers. Patients with CLL typically do not receive any treatment soon after the initial diagnosis.
