We report on a new patient with immunodeficiency, centromeric heterochromatin instability, and facial anomalies (the ICF syndrome). Studies with traditional cytogenetic methods demonstrate that aberrations in this syndrome primarily involve the centromeric regions of chromosomes 1 and 16.
