Although rare, primary choroid plexitis can occur as an early presentation of a central nervous system (CNS) infection most commonly with cryptococcosis, tuberculosis, and nocardiosis. In the appropriate clinical setting, an enlarged, intensely enhancing choroid plexus should raise suspicion for choroid plexitis.
