Eggs of Euschistus variolarius (Palisot de Beauvois, 1817) were examined with light and scanning electron microscopes (SEM). Eggs are deposited in clusters of generally 13-14 eggs per mass. The barrel-shaped eggs are about 1.15 mm long and 0.98 mm in width. Newly deposited eggs are light green and darkened color after the onset of embryonic development. The first external evidence of embryonic development is the appearance of paired red eye spots next to aero-micropylar processes. Subsequently… Expand
Studies on the external morphology of the eggs Eurygaster maura (Linnaeus,1758) (Heteroptera: Scutelleridae)
TLDR
External morphology of egg of Eurygaster maura was investigated and the first external evidence of embryonic development was the appearance of two red eye spots opposite each other beneath the aero-micropylar processes followed by appearance of a blackish T-shaped egg burster between the eye spots. Expand
Apodiphus amygdali (Germar, 1817) (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) yumurtalarinin yüzey morfolojisi
TLDR
The eggs of Apodiphus amygdali (Germar, 1817) were observed with light and scanning electron microscopes and the first external evidence of embryonic development is the appearance of two red eye spots opposite each other beneath the operculum. Expand
Morphology of immatures of Euschistus (Mitripus) grandis (Insecta: Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)
TLDR
The aim is to describe the egg and five nymphal instars of E. (M.)grandis, addressing the ontogeny of the external scent efferent system of Euschistus (Mitripus) grandis, thus potentially improving classification and phylogenies. Expand
Morphology of eggs and spermatheca of Odontotarsus purpureolineatus (Heteroptera, Scutelleridae)
TLDR
The morphology of the spermatheca and eggs of Odontotarsus purpureolineatus were studied by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, finding that the egg batches generally consist of 13–14 eggs. Expand
Characterization and Comparison of the Eggs of Seven Species of Mexican Grasshoppers 1
TLDR
The external morphologies of the eggs of seven species of grasshoppers were studied with the aid of an electron microscope and provided reliable characteristics that allow identification of the seven species. Expand
External egg structure of the Pentatomidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) and the search for characters with phylogenetic importance.
TLDR
The eggs of most of the Neotropical species studied were barrel-shaped, chorion translucent and spinose, with aero-micropylar processes that were short and clubbed. Expand
Morfologia dos estágios imaturos e biologia de três espécies de Chinavia orian (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae) e estudo comparado dos ovos de algumas espécies de pentatomídeos ao microscópio eletrônico de varredura
TLDR
Eggs of C. pengue follow the pattern of coloration, chorion sculpture, color and shape of the aero-micropylar processes described to other neotropical Chinavia species. Expand
Systematic studies of family scutelleridae (hemiptera: heteroptera) and biology of an economically important scutellerid bug, scutellera perplexa (westwood)
TLDR
This paper aims to demonstrate the efforts towards in-situ applicability of EMMARM, as to provide real-time information about concrete mechanical properties such as E-modulus and compressive strength. Expand
