OBJECTIVE To investigate the association between cholesterol lowering interventions and risk of death from suicide, accident, or trauma (non-illness mortality). DESIGN Meta-analysis of the non-illness mortality outcomes of large, randomised clinical trials of cholesterol lowering treatments.
