Abstract Chiral imidazole hydrolytic metalloenzyme models with characteristics of chiral centers directly link to imidazole N-atoms and varieties in both alkyl chain length and number of alkyl chains, have been synthesised and investigated for enantioselective hydrolysis of Boc-α-amino acid esters.
