The issue of child labor has received an increasing level of attention in recent years. The author analyzed household survey data from Bolivia and Venezuela in an effort to address the issue of child labor in relation to the educational attainment of working children. The data for Bolivia were drawn from an urban survey conducted in 1990, while the data on Venezuela come from a 1992 survey at the national level.
