CTP:phosphacholine cytidylyltransferase (EC 2.7.7.15) was purified from rat liver according to the method of Weinhold et al. (Weinhold, P. A., Rounsifer, M. E., and Feldman, D. A. (1986) J. Biol. Chem. 261, 5104-5110). Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with or without beta-mercaptoethanol revealed a single major band of 42,000 daltons.
