The purpose of this study is to identify the various secondary metabolites and evaluate the toxicity and analgesic activity of Vitex madiensis Oliv.(VM) and Phytolacca dodecandra L’Herit.(PD) aqueous extracts two plants used in traditional medicine in Congo for the management of pain and other conditions.
