We derive a family of necessary separability criteria for finite-dimensional systems based on inequalities for variances of observables. We show that every pure bipartite entangled state violates some of these inequalities. Furthermore, a family of bound entangled states and true multipartite entangled states can be detected. The inequalities also allow us to distinguish between different classes of true tripartite entanglement for qubits. We formulate an equivalent criterion in terms of…
Uniform Entanglement Frames
We present several criteria for genuine multipartite entanglement from universal uncertainty relations based on majorization theory. Under non-negative Schur-concave functions, the vector-type
Minimum Uncertainty and Entanglement
We address the question, does a system A being entangled with another system B, put any constraints on the Heisenberg uncertainty relation (or the Schrodinger–Robertson inequality)? We find that the
Separability and entanglement of quantum states based on covariance matrices
We investigate the separability of quantum states based on covariance matrices. Separability criteria are presented for multipartite states. The lower bound of concurrence proposed in Vicente (2007
State-independent uncertainty relations and entanglement detection
A method to get uncertainty relations with state-independent lower bounds by exploring the eigenvalues of a Hermitian matrix composed by Bloch vectors of incompatible observables and is applicable for both pure and mixed states and for arbitrary number of N-dimensional observables.
Characterization of multiqubit pure-state entanglement
A necessary and sufficient entanglement criterion based on variances of Mermin-Klyshko's Bell operators is proved for multiqubit pure states. Contrary to Bell's inequalities, entangled pure states
Nonlinear entanglement witnesses based on continuous-variable local orthogonal observables for bipartite systems
In this paper, a nonlinear entanglement witness criterion based on continuous-variable local orthogonal observables for bipartite states is established, which is strictly stronger than the the linear
Matched witness for multipartite entanglement
The necessary and sufficient criterion of separability for three qubit X states is given as an example to illustrate the procedure of finding a criterion and the result is utilized to obtain the noise tolerance of W state.
Entanglement Quantification in Atomic Ensembles.
This work analytically derives the lower bounds of broad families of entanglement criteria based on variances of arbitrary operators and lower bounding the best separable approximation and the generalized robustness only from measurements of first and second moments of the collective spin operator.

Quantum Entanglement: Separability, Measure, Fidelity of Teleportation, and Distillation
Quantum entanglement plays crucial roles in quantum information processing. Quantum entangled states have become the key ingredient in the rapidly expanding field of quantum information science.
