Tetracyclines induce anti-inflammatory effects unrelated to their antimicrobial activities. We investigated the effect induced by minocycline and doxycycline in models of nociceptive and inflammatory pain, edema, fever, cell migration and formation of fibrovascular tissue, as these effects have not been fully investigated.
