Characterization of an ExoS Type III translocation-resistant cell line.

Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa ExoS is a type III-secreted type III-secreted, bifunctional protein that causes diverse effects on eukaryotic cell function. The coculture of P. aeruginosa strains expressing ExoS with HL-60 myeloid cells revealed the cell line to be resistant to the toxic effects of ExoS. Differentiation of HL-60 cells with phorbol 12-myristate 13… (More)
