Developmental stages in mitospore production in Pseudocercospora musae were examined by differential interference contrast light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Mitosporogenous cells consistently originated directly from upper stromatic cells. Concentric bodies were found in both stromatic and mitosporogenous cells.
