By combining chaotic system and DNA sequence operations, an image cryptosystem is proposed. To generate sequences with better chaotic characteristics, a new spatiotemporal chaotic system is constructed by employing the Logistic-Sine system (LSS) in the coupled map lattice (CML). In the cryptosystem, the original image is firstly diffused through exclusive or with a key image transformed from the constructed spatiotemporal chaotic sequences.
