The cellular basis for the mechanism of hyposensitization was studied by examining the changes in the numbers and proliferative responses to house dust and phytohemagglutinin (PHA) of T cell subsets of 25 house dust-sensitive asthmatic children before and 1 yr after hyposensitization.
