Abstract Hemolymph changes in response to infection with Melanoplus sanguinipes entomopoxvirus (MsEPV) were studied in the migratory grasshopper, M. sanguinipes . Secondinstar grasshoppers were inoculated orally with MsEPV (5.0 × 10 3 occlusion bodies (OBs)/individual) and hemolymph was collected at specified intervals from 0 to 32 days post-inoculation (p.i.).
