We investigated whether hypophysectomy could modify the change in muscle fibre types caused by compensatory overload. Male Wistar strain rats were assigned to groups of either normal control (NC), hypophysectomized control (HC), normal compensatory overloaded (NO), or hypophysectomized compensatory overloaded (HO).
