Substantial changes are found in the fatty acid (FA) composition of colostrum and milk of cows during parturient paresis: the content of saturated FAs was 10–14% higher than in healthy animals and that of mono- and polyunsaturated FAs was respectively 5.5 and 1.6% lower.
