Chaconia clusiae on Clusia cf. palmicida (Clusiaceae) and C. heliconiae on Heliconia psittacorum, H. bihai and Heliconia sp. (Heliconiaceae) are described as new from French Guiana in northern South America. Clusiaceae and Heliconiaceae are new host families for members of Chaconia, Heliconiaceae is the first one from Monocotyledoneae. Chaconia clusiae, C. heliconiae and C. maprouneae formed tuberous to worm-like D-haustoria originating from haustorial mother cells that were part of the…
Morphology and phylogenetics of Stomatisora, including Stomatisora psychotriicola sp. nov.
Molecular data support this interpretation and a possible relationship within a phakopsoroid clade and a close relationship and a generic separation from other rust genera.
Notes, outline and divergence times of Basidiomycota
Divergence times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system, and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.

Chaconia hennenii, a new holomorph species for Uredo maclurae and Uredo celtidis (Uredinales)
Chaconia hennenii is proposed as a new holomorph species for Uredo maclurae (= Physopella maclurae) on Maclura tinctoria (Moraceae) after the discovery of teliospores. Uredo celtidis described on
First catalogue of the rust fungi of French Guiana, northern South America
An annotated list of the rust fungi (Uredinales or Pucciniales) of French Guiana is presented and previously undescribed characters are presented.
Two new species of Uredinales from Thailand
Evaluation of tetrazolium bromide as a vital stain for fungal oospores and its role in vesiculararbuscular mycorrhizal fungi research.
Aplopsora corni sp. nov. onCornus controversa from Hokkaido, Japan
Aplopsora corni sp. nov. is proposed for a rust fungus whose uredinial and basidial stage occurs onCornus controversa (Cornaceae) in Hokkaido. This new species is separated by its larger
Morphology of haustoria of Ravenelia and Kernkampella spp. * * Part 124 of the series Studies in He
The haustorial morphology of 21 Ravenelia species, two Kernkampella species, and four leguminicolous Uredo and Uraecium species which are probably related to Ravenelia, was investigated by light
Toward resolving family-level relationships in rust fungi (Uredinales)
It is concluded that morphology alone is a poor predictor of rust relationships at most levels and host selection, on the other hand, has played a significant role in rust evolution.
The Nuclear Cycle and the Terminology of Spore States in Uredinales
Criteria for nomenclature of spore states in the Uredinales should relate to their positions in the life cycle and be based on their nuclear conditions and this system reflects the function of each spore state.
Illustrated genera of rust fungi.
Two new genera of rust fungi are described that have been described as "superficial" and "spatially cryptic" in their structure and distribution.
A Miracle Mounting Fluid for Permanent Whole-Mounts of Microfungi
Hoyer's fluid (hereafter referred to as AH), which is so useful and yet so poorly known to mycologists, has several outstanding advantages over other popular mounting media:.
Ultrastructure of rust fungi
The structure of rust fungi is determined by X-ray diffraction analysis with the help of Na6(CO3)(SO4)2, Na2(SO4), Na2SO4, and Na2CO3 during the growth process.
