A modification of Philpott's cervicograph has been in use at Port Moresby General Hospital since 1st July, 1973. The cervicograph, its use, and the results obtained in 1,053 primigravidae and 1,959 multigravidae are described in this paper. The cervicograph efficiently separated normal from abnormal labour and enabled the nursing staff to detect the small number of patients who required skills and facilities that are not available at small peripheral units. the cervicograph should be used in… CONTINUE READING
